Lead Data Architect, Corporate Tech

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for 10+ years of related experience in data architecture roles.
• We need hands-on experience with data modeling techniques and tools across both OLTP and OLAP patterns.
• We require deep knowledge of data architecture, best practices, and current industry trends for modern data needs.
• We need strong familiarity with one or more cloud databases such as Postgres or CockroachDB, or data lake platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake.
• We want proven ability to establish standards, author Architecture Decision Records, define a north star vision, and influence multiple application teams.
• We require broad expertise in data technologies, including data processing, data quality, business intelligence and analytics tools, unstructured data, and machine learning.
• We need experience with data governance frameworks, data catalogs, data vocabularies, and data classification.
• We require cloud fundamentals, with AWS preferred or experience with other public cloud platforms.
• We value excellent analytical and problem-solving ability with strong attention to detail.
• We need strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to present effectively to senior leaders and executives.
• We require the ability to work in a multinational, geographically distributed team.
• Preferred: advanced analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred: experience with alternative data platforms such as graph databases or graph-based data.
• Preferred: familiarity with large language models and prompt engineering.
• Preferred: familiarity with finance and banking products and related protection standards such as GDPR or PCI.

• We drive our data architecture principles and framework to strengthen the overall data environment across the application portfolio.
• We own and evolve database standards, including database selection and sensible defaults, in partnership with application architects.
• We lead adoption of the strategic lake by designing target-state data architectures that reduce bespoke data applications holding duplicate data.
• We define data processing patterns and standards for data exchange between applications, including streaming, API, and batch interactions.
• We serve as the go-to subject matter expert for data architecture needs across more than 100 applications.
• We mentor and coach junior architects and technologists on data practices, modeling, design, and storage.
