Senior Business Analyst

Job Summary: The Senior Business Analyst role in Raleigh, NC involves supporting the Data Modernization Initiative project through comprehensive business process analysis, requirements gathering, and documentation. The position requires collaboration with stakeholders, project managers, developers, and end users to ensure successful implementation and alignment of business needs with technical solutions over a 12+ month contract period. Responsibilities: Conduct stakeholder analysis and market research. Identify and document current and future state process workflows. Create user stories, acceptance criteria, and Agile deliverables. Develop contextual diagrams, functional decomposition, and process workflows. Produce business process models, use cases, wireframes, entity relationship diagrams, data dictionaries, and system context diagrams. Gather, document, validate business, functional, and technical requirements. Perform functional and integrated testing; support UAT including test scenarios and cases. Prepare and maintain project documentation and artifacts. Work with project managers, developers, and end users to ensure application designs meet business requirements. Create and maintain Requirement Traceability Matrix. Contribute to procurement documentation and support procurement processes. Support system go-live activities and post-implementation tasks. Document gap analysis and author meeting minutes. Follow PMO project management and business analysis methodologies. Travel locally within Raleigh area to attend meetings. Required Skills & Certifications: Proven experience documenting functional requirements and technical specifications. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to build relationships with team members and clients. Demonstrated negotiation, problem-solving, and business judgment skills. Comprehensive knowledge of Business Analysis principles and PMI PMBOK® Guide standards. Experience advising on application customizations and interface designs. High-level understanding of application programming, database, and system design. Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) concepts and IT Service Management best practices. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and Microsoft Project. Extensive experience with SharePoint end user experience, sites, libraries, lists, and groups. Healthcare data reporting systems experience. Preferred Skills & Certifications: Experience with Agile methodologies and deliverables. Familiarity with advanced business analysis tools and techniques. Project management experience or certifications. Special Considerations: Local travel within the Raleigh, NC area is required for meetings. Must be able to manage multiple work streams and competing deadlines. Ability to work independently in a diverse communication environment. Scheduling: Regular shift from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. 12+ month contract with potential for extension. vTech Solution
