Software Engineer

Purpose and Impact Join our dynamic DevOps team in Hanover, MD, delivering cutting‑edge training solutions for cyber security courses across multiple states. We develop tailored, high‑quality software for instructional staff and students, managing the full lifecycle from deployment to support. Essential Responsibilities Capture and evaluate requirements; design services, pipelines, and UI/UX. Select and implement appropriate technologies. Configure and manage application code, documentation, testing, and maintenance. Design, develop, troubleshoot, and analyze training software programs. Research, document, and test security solutions, emerging technologies, and CNE concepts. Support development of operational training, simulation, system modeling, and analysis. Advance and troubleshoot class‑management tools and virtualized systems for immersive cyber environments. Create utility programs and operational systems, conduct detailed specifications analysis. Provide documentation for programs, block diagrams, and logic flows. Validate program accuracy through sample data, tests, logs, and debugging. Minimum Requirements 13 years of applicable software development experience (or equivalent education). Background in application programming languages: Python, Ruby, shell scripting, C++, HTML, CSS, AJAX, JSON/XML, JavaScript/TypeScript, jQuery, React, SQL/NoSQL, relational databases. Working knowledge of Windows and Linux platforms and server/workstation administration. Experience with Agile methodologies. Experience in VMWare, Kubernetes, Docker, or similar virtualized environments. TS/SCI clearance with Poly. Sec+ or equivalent certification. Preferred Qualifications Experienced across multiple stages of the Software Development Lifecycle with ability to specialize in UI/UX, Backend Services, or DevOps/Integration, and a desire to expand into additional areas.
