PLC/HMI Programmer

The PLC/HMI Programmer will be responsible for various tasks related to the development and delivery of custom process and control automation solutions for industrial clients. The person accepting this full-time position will be resourceful, independent, goal-driven, and most importantly, a team player. Primary Duties/Responsibilities Assist in the development of Project Functional Technical Specifications, Testing Documents, etc. Read and understand P&ID’s, loop diagrams, process flow diagrams, cause and effect matrices Develop HMI software applications Develop PLC software programs Design Control Panels Configure/calibrate field instrumentation and other equipment Assist in the startup and commissioning of automation systems Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science, or equivalent experience 3+ years of industry experience is preferred Excellent organizational and personal time management skills required Strong analytical skills, as well as technical writing and oral communication skills Experience with HMI and PLC platforms is required Instrument installation and calibration experience Good mechanical experience with engines, compressors, pumps, and valves is preferred Advanced Process Control and Database design/development experience is a plus Operator Qualification (OQ) Certifications are a plus Ability and willingness to travel (typical travel is 25-30% annually) Applying to New Frontier Technologies New Frontier is a full service automation solution provider serving a variety of industries.
