Software Engineer - Alternative Asset Management Technology

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, plus at least 3 years of applied experience
• Practical experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database query languages, including Java, React, and SQL
• Proficiency writing and optimizing SQL queries for retrieval, manipulation, and analysis in relational databases
• Experience building interactive, responsive user interfaces with React
• Proven experience building and integrating backend solutions with Spring frameworks
• Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools, including evaluating and validating generated output for correctness, performance, and security
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and security and resiliency expectations
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
• Preferred: exposure to AWS cloud technologies

• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and deliver software solutions, including addressing complex technical problems
• Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that operate in coordination with appropriate systems
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure development meets design constraints
• Analyze large and varied datasets and create visualizations and reports to improve applications and systems
• Identify issues and patterns in data and use findings to improve coding practices and system architecture
• Participate in software engineering communities and events focused on emerging technologies
• Use approved AI coding tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity; validate results through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding practices
• Apply Software Development Life Cycle tools, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value of automation
• Collaborate with portfolio managers to understand their needs and develop solutions that improve investment workflows
