Junior High Teacher West Valley

Overview Legacy Traditional Schools is recruiting teachers for multiple subjects across locations throughout the West Valley. Positions include JuniorHigh Science Teacher, JuniorHigh English Language Arts Teacher, JuniorHigh Math Teacher, Sixth Grade English Language Arts Teacher, JuniorHigh Math Teacher (Goodyear), JuniorHigh Math Teacher (Laveen), and English Language Arts Teacher (North Phoenix). Responsibilities Implement instructional activities that create a climate of active engagement in meaningful learning experiences. Select, modify, and integrate instructional resources to meet the diverse needs of students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs. Use direct instruction techniques to guide students through activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth needed for primary school success. Assess changing curricular needs and recommend improvement plans. Maintain accurate and efficient record‑keeping procedures. Communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals regularly. Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment. Model professional and ethical standards when interacting with students, parents, peers, and the community. Ensure continuous and appropriate student growth and achievement for each age group and subject area. Participate in training and staff meetings; meet professional obligations such as deadlines, honoring schedules, and coordinating meetings. Encourage students to uphold school values and model mature behavior and good character in and outside the classroom. Assist with light lifting, standing, moving around campus, and travel to other campuses as required. Participate in events outside of normal hours and perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. Valid SEI Endorsement/Certification or ability to obtain. Pass a criminal history background check. Preferred Qualifications Current teaching certificate from within the state. Physical & Travel Requirements Travel between campuses is required from time to time; local and in‑state travel required. May need to lift objects up to 25 pounds on occasion. Work may involve sitting for long periods, talking on the phone, standing, kneeling, stooping, and concentrating for extended periods.
