What You'll Do

Conduct Comprehensive Patient Assessments

• Evaluate patients' physical status and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their acute medical needs and recovery goals.

Deliver Targeted Therapeutic Interventions

• Use evidence-based acute care physical therapy techniques-such as mobility training, therapeutic exercises, and manual therapy-to enhance patient strength and function.

Monitor and Adjust Treatment Plans

• Track patient progress and adjust interventions as needed to support recovery milestones and safe discharge planning.

Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams

• Partner with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other rehab professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic care for each patient.

Educate Patients and Families

• Provide instruction on mobility techniques, home exercises, and safe practices to support continued healing after discharge.

Promote Early Mobilization and Wellness

• Encourage activity and functional movement as soon as medically appropriate to prevent complications and promote faster recovery.

Qualifications

Education:

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent
• New graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply

Licensure & Certification:

• Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in Iowa
• Specialty certifications (e.g., geriatrics, orthopedics, neuro) are a plus

Skills & Experience:

• Acute care or hospital experience preferred
• Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
