Business Analyst

Job Title: Business Analyst Location: Provo, UT 100% Onsite Duration: 6+ Months Interview: Onsite preferred Job Description We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support operations within a state psychiatric health facility. The ideal candidate will have strong experience gathering and documenting business requirements in a psychiatric, behavioral health, or comparable clinical healthcare environment and hands-on experience working in a SAFe/Agile delivery environment . Required Skills Minimum 5 years of business requirements gathering experience within a psychiatric health facility or comparable behavioral/clinical healthcare setting Hands-on SAFe / Scaled Agile Framework experience Requirements elicitation, documentation, and validation Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) User stories and acceptance criteria Process mapping and workflow documentation Stakeholder interviews and workshops Gap analysis and process improvement Requirements traceability UAT support and test scenario development Experience with Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Visio, or equivalent tools Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Key Responsibilities Gather and document requirements from clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows Facilitate requirements workshops and stakeholder interviews Analyze current-state processes and identify gaps and improvement opportunities Participate in SAFe ceremonies including PI Planning, sprint reviews, and backlog refinement Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, developers, and technical teams Maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle Develop documentation including BRDs, process maps, and status reports Support UAT and validate solutions against documented requirements Preferred Qualifications SAFe certification State government or public-sector healthcare experience Behavioral health or psychiatric care experience EHR experience Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or related field CBAP or PMI-PBA certification Important: Candidates must have relevant psychiatric, behavioral-health, or comparable clinical healthcare requirements-gathering experience.
