Cloud Security Engineer

Vantor is seeking a Staff Cloud Security Engineer to secure mission critical cloud platforms for Defense & Aerospace clients. You'll lead design and implementation of security architectures on AWS/Azure, champion Zero Trust, and embed security into modern web, data, and automation solutions. Partner with DevOps and product teams to implement IaC, CI/CD security gates, and continuous monitoring. You'll guide threat modeling, harden workloads to NIST/DoD standards, and mentor engineers while helping clients modernize securely in a collaborative, low ego, learning focused culture.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead secure architectures for AWS/Azure environments supporting Defense & Aerospace clients.
• Embed security controls into CI/CD pipelines, Ia
• C templates, and automated deployment workflows.
• Implement and tune IAM, network segmentation, and Zero Trust patterns across cloud workloads.
• Define and enforce security baselines aligned to NIST, Do
• D, and client-specific requirements.
• Collaborate with Dev
• Ops, data, and application teams to conduct threat modeling and design reviews.
• Deploy and maintain security monitoring, logging, and alerting for cloud-native services and containers.
• Lead incident response for cloud security events and drive root-cause analysis and remediation.
• Mentor engineers on cloud security best practices and contribute to internal standards and playbooks.
• Partner with clients to assess cloud security posture and present clear recommendations.
• Continuously evaluate new cloud security tools and patterns to improve Vantor's security capabilities.
