Activity Assistant

East Ridge Village is seeking a PRN or Part Time Activity Assistant! Job Summary The Activity Assistant develops and implements lifestyle programming that provides opportunities for residents which promote a high level of healthy living, wellbeing, engagement, and growth. Essential Job Duties Prepare and implement activity programs in adherence to the monthly calendar. Collaborate in the planning of activity programs that provide physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual opportunities for the residents. Collaborate in the planning of appropriate programs for holidays and special events; assist in coordinating holiday decorations for the community. Collaborate in the preparation, organization, and distribution of the calendar of events each month. Collaborate in decorating appropriate areas. Collaborate in storing supplies appropriately. Observe residents participating in programs to gauge their enjoyment and obtain feedback to improve programming. Document resident participation in programs and self-directed activities. Communicate resident changes and program effectiveness with Activities Supervisor. Interact with residents, guests, and staff in an atmosphere of hospitality. Protect the privacy of the resident when communicating oral and written information. Collect and pass out monthly calendars, event flyers, and resident mail. Carry out resident council & family circle duties. Assessing residents upon intake to ensure care plan leads to highest quality of life and reflects previous lifestyle choices. Keep activity areas maintained. Qualifications High School Diploma required; Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred but not required. One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
