Loss Prevention Officer | On-Call | Full Time Omni Amelia Island, 39 Beach Lagoon Rd, Amelia Island, Florida, United States of America Job Description Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa is a luxury resort with 3.5 miles of beach, scenic marshlands, and world-class amenities. Overview: This team member will ensure the safety and tranquil stay of resort guests and employees by enforcing the policies and procedures of the hotel and recording in writing any assigned task. Prepare incident and accident reports accurately and in the format specified by the Director of Loss Prevention. Responsibilities: Patrol hotel property to ensure the safety of guests and employees and protect all hotel assets. Answer house calls to assist guests and associates with safety, security, and hotel operations. Initiate and follow up on investigations of crimes against property and persons. Assist sick/injured guests or associates, ensuring all documentation, reporting, and witness statements are completed promptly. Initiate investigations, write incident and accident reports, monitor investigations to timely conclusion, and ensure appropriate follow‑up with guests, visitors, and employees, documenting all contacts. Maintain accurate records while performing basic duties including camera monitoring, shift activity log, codebook, and employee/guest interactions. Monitor/distribute visitor and vendor access by issuing visitor badges. Perform frequent bag checks for associates leaving the property. Escort and interact with special guests who require privacy when entering/exiting the hotel through high‑traffic areas. Maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive guest or associate issues. Assist supervisor or director in checking alarm systems, safety and fire alarms, and closely monitoring security of building doors, service areas, delivery areas, and grounds. Assist hotel management in emergency situations by knowing all hotel safety procedures and directing guests and associates to safety. Record, report, and correct any unsafe conditions while patrolling hotel property. Maintain professional attitude and appearance. Qualifications: Must be able to stand and walk up to 8 hours per shift. Available for AM & PM shifts. Must communicate effectively by telephone, email, radio, and reporting. Must have basic computer knowledge. Must reach various hotel areas rapidly if necessary. First Aid / CPR certification preferred. Remain calm and professional during stressful situations. Valid driver's license with good standing driving record. Flexible schedule including day, evening, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
