Procurement Specialist Details:

• Contract to hire position
• $31.25 to $36.06/hour
• First shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)

Identify and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, equipment, and services for operational and developmental activities based upon technical specifications supplied by product teams and with oversight from the Supplier Quality team. Collaborates with functional groups to understand and forecast procurement needs. Manages lead times and inventory levels to avoid overstocking while also ensuring there are no delivery delays related to raw material sourcing; utilizes Material Resource Planning (MRP) system to manage raw materials. Processes all purchase orders (POs) for the department and ensures orders are placed in a timely manner.

Procurement Specialist Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor's degree in business, purchasing, supply chain management, technical, or related field is required.
• Strong verbal and written communications that are commensurate with level of experience.
• Proficiency with standard desktop computing systems and software with previous experience utilizing the Oracle MRP system for procurement and purchasing activities.
• Results-oriented mindset with demonstrated track record of delivering benefit to overall business.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing operations/systems and related processes.
• Superior interpersonal skills when dealing with fellow associates, clients, and external suppliers. Demonstrates professionalism at all times when communicating with clients.
• Ability to work well independently or with others in team environments.
• Possess a strong decision-making process that will be used to evaluate various options, recognize similarities/differences, quickly determine benefits and risks, and take definitive action.
