- Drager XL and v500 ventilators experience preferred

Responsibilities
- Provide bedside respiratory care in MICU/SICU and trauma settings, including invasive and noninvasive ventilation with lung-protective strategies; assess and adjust therapy as indicated.
- Manage ventilator settings and participate in weaning decisions based on patient assessment and laboratory data; document changes and outcomes.
- Respond to Code Blue and other resuscitation events; collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Perform airway management, suctioning, chest physiotherapy, bronchodilator therapy, and aerosolized medications per orders; monitor patient responses and adjust care as needed.
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EPIC electronic medical record; ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams and participate in rounds as assigned; maintain equipment and inventory per department standards.

Requirements
- Active Massachusetts Respiratory Care license and RRT certification; BLS required
- Minimum 5 years of recent experience in a Level 1 trauma facility with MICU and SICU critical care; experience with lung-protective ventilation; code team participation
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Drager XL and v500 ventilator experience preferred; Level III NICU experience preferred
- Graduation from an accredited respiratory therapy program or equivalent, with eligibility for licensure in MA
