RESPONSIBILITIES: Packs polyethylene bags/liners in a neat and orderly manner according to job specification, closely adhering to the count per box. Checks quality of products for width and length, seal strength, packaging specifications, twist ties, and any other specification noted as special instructions. Report all production or equipment problems to Machine Operator and/or Supervisor. Place date and lot number on all cases. Use lane coders to stamp each carton. Observes all safety regulations. Maintains clean work area at all times. Assists in processing start-up as required. Maintains required production records as required. Perform other related functions and duties as assigned or required. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Ability to read and write to complete required forms and verify quality products are produced. Must have good vision, eye-hand coordination, and hearing. Ability to adhere to Amcor's Safety, Health, and Environmental Vision, Policy, and Standards. Ability to work overtime, holidays, weekends, days, or nights for 12 or more hours. Ability to stand, sit, kneel, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and crawl for extended periods multiple times per day. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Must have manual dexterity involving total wrist action, twisting, pulling, and raising arms at or above shoulder height. Ability to work in warm, humid, and cool climates for 12 or more hours per day or night. Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which includes safety glasses, safety goggles, hearing protection, steel toe shoes/boots, face shield, gloves, and face mask.
