Construction Class A Driver (Concrete, Underground & Grading)

Job Title: Class A CDL Driver – Construction (Concrete, Underground Utilities & Grading)

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Class A CDL Driver to support construction operations involving concrete, underground utility installation, and grading projects. The driver will transport materials, equipment, and construction supplies to and from job sites while assisting field crews as needed. This position requires experience operating commercial vehicles in a construction environment and maintaining compliance with all safety regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate Class A commercial vehicles, including dump trucks, water trucks, lowboys, transfer trucks, and equipment-hauling trailers.
• Safely transport heavy equipment, construction materials, aggregate, pipe, and supplies to project sites.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete required documentation.
• Load, secure, and unload equipment and materials according to company and DOT regulations.
• Support grading operations by hauling dirt, rock, base material, and debris.
• Deliver materials and equipment for underground utility projects, including water, sewer, storm drain, and utility installations.
• Assist construction crews with site preparation, excavation, and general labor tasks when required.
• Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of assigned vehicles and equipment.
• Follow all company safety policies, traffic laws, and project-specific requirements.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatch personnel, and field crews.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Clean driving record and ability to meet company insurance requirements.
• Minimum 2 years of Class A driving experience preferred.
• Experience in construction, grading, excavation, concrete, or underground utility work preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment is a plus.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb, bend, kneel, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and overtime as required by project schedules.

Pay Range: Typically $34–$38 per hour depending on experience
