What You'll Do

As an Automotive Service Advisor, you will:

• Welcome customers promptly and professionally.
• Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document repair requests.
• Prepare repair orders using dealership management software.
• Recommend manufacturer-recommended maintenance and repair services based on vehicle needs.
• Communicate repair recommendations clearly and honestly.
• Coordinate repairs with Toyota-certified technicians.
• Monitor repair progress and proactively update customers throughout the service visit.
• Review completed repairs and invoices with customers before delivery.
• Promote preventative maintenance to help customers maximize vehicle safety, reliability, and longevity.
• Build long-term customer relationships that encourage repeat business and referrals.
• Achieve individual and department goals for customer satisfaction (CSI), sales, productivity, and repair order performance.
• Maintain accurate documentation while following Toyota, dealership, BAR, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Deliver an exceptional ownership experience on every customer visit.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor, Service Writer, or Automotive Service Consultant preferred.
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
• Strong sales, relationship-building, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dealership environment.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Computer proficiency and ability to learn dealership software systems.
• Valid California driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

• Toyota dealership experience.
• Experience using DealerBuilt, Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK, Tekion, Dealertrack, or similar dealership management systems.
• Knowledge of Toyota maintenance schedules and manufacturer recommendations.
• ASE Service Consultant Certification is a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
