This is an exciting opportunity for a do-it-all individual to join as a Senior Business Analyst of Margin Services IT team in Raleigh, NC. Margin Services IT is distributed across the Americas (Raleigh and New York), Europe (London) and Asia Pacific (Singapore and India).

Individual will be responsible for supporting a Margin Services applications and required to support in respect of service requests and queries from internal business customers (Margin Services Ops, Front office, Treasury, Collateral desk and Group Finance) and change-management associated with new business demand and other requirement.

Serves as subject matter expert associated with content, processes, and procedures associated with vendor and in-house developed applications. Documents functional requirements, analyzes requirements in the context of software and processes, develops test plans, assists with and documents business process improvement efforts, and works with production issues.

Supporting project teams in terms of research and background information. Elicit and detail the client requirements via industry standard analysis techniques such as data flow modeling, case analysis, workflow analysis, functional decomposition analysis, data modeling, and object modeling. Document the results of analysis activities using appropriate templates or tools.

Ability to work with technology teams to convert high level requirements in to technical specifications.

Work with clients, project managers & other business analysts to understand user requirements their problems and needs

Support the Quality Assurance team in the management and remediation of software defects by developing and execute test plans that will ensure business requirements have been met

Adhere to software development standards, procedures and techniques.

Collaborate effectively with developers, project managers, regional managers, quality assurance and other team members.

Gain in-depth understanding of Banking, Investment Repo, Collateral and Margin business.

Work effectively with team members in other locations situated globally.

Provide solutions, which cater to the needs of the business

Share the acquired knowledge and deliver training to the team members

Gather requirements from business units and translate those to developers and architects

Documents functional requirements, analyzes requirements in the context of software and processes

Develops test plans and coordinate all QA and User Acceptance testing for projects and programs.

Work with development and support teams on production issues as needed

Assist in documentation of business process improvement efforts

Provide input to the project or program effort and cost estimation

Prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation.

Faceoff to the business for new requirements and changes.

Work effectively with team members in other locations situated globally.

Gain in-depth understanding of Banking/Investment Repo, Collateral and Margin business.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.

Basic ability to work independently and manage ones time.

Must be highly organized.

Ability to follow the concepts of SDLC.

Must be able to manage multiple stakeholders, for multiple projects in various stages.

Knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall Methodologies

Basic understanding of investment banking products from an IT perspective, any experience in repo, collateral/margin management is preferred

Knowledge and/or prior working experience of collateral management or OTC Derivatives and Repo products is a big plus

Knowledge of design techniques and principals involved in production of drawings and models.

Basic knowledge of computer software, such as SQL, Visual Basic, dotnet, Java, etc.

Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.

10+ years of experience required.
