Concrete Laborer

Concrete Worker / Carpenter / Steel Erector

Key Responsibilities

• Perform site prep, excavation, and demolition.

• Set forms, place, finish, and cure concrete for foundations and slabs.

• Install reinforcing steel and assist with layout work.

• Complete basic carpentry, framing, and construction tasks.

• Assist with steel erection and welding as needed.

• Read measurements and basic construction plans.

• Operate hand tools and work safely as part of a crew.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of concrete construction experience.

• Experience with forming, placing, and finishing concrete.

• Ability to read measurements and basic construction drawings.

• Proficient with construction hand and power tools.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work outdoors.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial concrete construction experience.

• Experience with foundations, footings, and slabs.

• Reinforcing steel, carpentry, or steel erection experience.

Schedule & Environment

• Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM

• Projects within 60 miles of Ames and Fort Dodge

• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions

• PPE required on job sites

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ames, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
