Associate Principal - Secondary

Associate Principal, Secondary – Eden Prairie High School The Eden Prairie School District is seeking an Associate Principal to partner with the principal in providing instructional and cultural leadership for the school. The role includes staff and student supervision, curriculum development, and instructional improvement efforts focused on the success of all students. The candidate should demonstrate above‑average interpersonal skills to work effectively with a diverse student body, parents, and community stakeholders. Position Requirements Current Minnesota Principal License, or ability to obtain. A minimum of 5 years of successful K‑12 teaching experience; high school level preferred. A minimum of 1–3 years of successful educational leadership experience, with prior administrative experience preferred. Qualifications Experienced leader capable of guiding and managing staff in an inclusive environment that fosters trust, respect, innovation, and equitable outcomes. Proficient in curriculum, instruction, and continuous improvement strategies. Advanced coursework related to the skills and content of the principalship. Knowledge of current issues in school management. Strong communication and systems‑thinking skills with excellent interpersonal abilities to work with staff, students, parents, and community members. Demonstrated ability to collaborate within an administrative team framework. Commitment to high academic standards for all students. Technological expertise in supporting systems that improve school‑wide data and process‑improvement needs. Benefits Salary: $169,680 per year, plus additional salary dependent on experience and education. Vacation: 28 days per year. Holidays: 12 paid holidays each year. Personal Day: 1 day per year. Life Insurance: Full coverage for an amount equal to twice the employee’s annual salary. Long‑Term Disability Insurance: Fully paid by the district. Medical/Hospitalization Insurance: Plans offered for single or family coverage with generous district contributions. Dental Insurance: Fully paid by the district for single or family coverage. Sick Leave: 14 days per year, cumulative to 280 days. Tuition Reimbursement: 50% tuition for up to 3 credits per academic session for pre‑approved coursework. Tax‑Sheltered Annuity: District match up to $3,000 per year.
