Senior Product Manager - Employee Experience

Job DescriptionThe Senior Product Manager, Employee Experience is a key member of the Nordstrom HR Product Management team, responsible for defining the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the employee and manager experience and how they interact with Nordstrom's digital workplace as well as HR Operations. This PM will also lead the vision and product design for a unified self-service hub spanning web and mobile that brings together various operational touchpoints into a single, intuitive experience. Communicates impacts across the business without supportPrioritizes product roadmap to balance short-term deliverables with long term progress, across multiple domains with supportDevelops feature timeline and sequencing plan within a product line, considering technical and operational constraints and delivery of iterative value without supportYou've got this if...The Basics:6+ years in product management, with at least 2 years owning an end-to-end employee-facing productDemonstrated experience defining a product vision or strategy with a track record of driving cross-functional alignmentProven ability to ship AI- or ML-enabled product capabilities, with practical experience partnering with engineering to evaluate feasibility, risks, and valueStrong understanding of Generative AI concepts (e.g., agentic patterns, RAG, natural language interfaces, prompt design) and how they apply to employee and manager self-service toolsExperience defining and tracking product metrics — adoption, task completion, self-service deflection, usability — and using them to prioritize investments and report progress to leadershipAbility to translate complex organizational needs and stakeholder requirements into clear, actionable product plans and user storiesStrong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and adjusting course quicklyExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including presenting product strategy, roadmaps, and performance results to various levels within a matrixed organizationExperience with HR technology platforms (Workday, ServiceNow HRSD) preferred; retail industry product experience a plusKnowledge of product management tools (e.g., Aha!, Jira) and Agile development practicesOutstanding organizational and time management skills Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle Partner with Change Management or other stakeholders to produce training materials and communications when plan structures or tools evolvePartner cross-functionally to effectively define, measure and analyze processes to identify improvement opportunities Technical background and understanding of software development principles, including Agile development, and testing methodologies Proficient in data analysis and performance metrics Ability to explain complex technical material clearly to users with varying levels of proficiency Pay Range DetailsThe pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws.
