Production Supervisor - Day ShiftWorking with the Chief Operations Officer and Production Supervisor - Night Shift, the Production Supervisor - Day Shift manages the operations of their assigned production areas to ensure that safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are achieved. The Production Supervisor - Day Shift plans and establishes work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequences to maximize productivity.Responsibilities include:Providing production process analysis and making recommendations on solutions to process improvements.Serving as the "go-to" resource for their assigned production related needs.Performing and overseeing manufacturing process capability studies, as needed.Assisting in leading and executing equipment and process improvement initiatives including structured problem-solving methods.Managing workload priorities for the production team and communicating time and cost status and changes to management, as needed.Developing, maintaining, and deploying work standards for processes.Engaging in lean manufacturing initiatives to improve safety, material flow, cycle times, productivity, and capacity.Owning the safety culture in their assigned area by working with the Safety Department to ensure employee training and accountability.Participating in or leading cross functional team meetings.Developing a culture of teamwork and commitment to the customer; service and quality are what make us successful.Assisting with the adherence to SOP's.Maintaining manufacturing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, and developing personal growth opportunities for employees.Communicating job goals and expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.Producing products by establishing production planning systems; maintaining good manufacturing practices, enforcing quality standards, improving products and processes.Ensuring product quality meets product specifications and criteria for all products shipped from the plant.Performing other related duties as assigned including, but not limited to, in-process quality inspection, executing production flow of containers per in-shop schedule.Requirements include:Holding direct reports accountable to the safety, cleanliness, quality, delivery, and cost expectations.Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to build a culture of confidence, pride, and tangible results.Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, NetSuite ERP (or similar system).Works with integrity and respect displaying a high degree of tact and diplomacy.Must be familiar with various measuring devices and analyzing information.Fluent in Spanish preferred.Bachelor's Degree preferred or related experience?Competencies/desired characteristics include:Leadership- Drive accountability by getting the right people together with the right behaviors to make better, faster decisions, and achieve operating results.Team Building - Calibrating people based on their actions, decisions, and behaviors and matching them to the requirements of the job; getting competent leaders to coordinate seamlessly.Setting Goals - Determining the set of goals that balances what the operating unit can become with what it can realistically achieve.Setting Priorities - Defining the path and aligning resources, actions, and energy to accomplish the goal.Working conditions include:Manufacturing or production environment with occasional exposure to noise, etc.Ability to travel occasionally as required.Day Shift - 6:30am-4pm M-F with some weekend work possible depending on business needs.Benefits include:Comprehensive medical, dental and vision coverage options.Additional options for voluntary life, hospital, critical illness, accident, and disability coverage.Employer-paid life insurance coverage at 1x salary.Employer-paid Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for employees and their households.Employer-contributions toward HSA Account for individuals electing High Deductible Medical Plan.Flexible Spending Account.401(k) Retirement Plan with Employer Match.Paid Time Off (2-4 weeks of PTO leave accrued per year based on years of service).(11) paid holidays.Employer-paid Professional Development opportunities.Colleague recognition program.XCaliber is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
