Lead Elevator Mechanic
Our client is a premier vertical transportation provider operating throughout the DMW area with an established, market-leading reputation centered on rapid response times, precision engineering, and an uncompromising approach to site safety. We are currently seeking a proactive Elevator Mechanic to spearhead a variety of assignments, from lifecycle maintenance to complex system deployments.
Core Functions
In this capacity, you will oversee the functionality, restoration, and modernization of vertical lift systems within commercial environments. Whether working autonomously or leading a specialized crew, your primary objective is to maintain peak system performance while ensuring strict adherence to regulatory safety standards.
Primary Duties
- Diagnose and resolve complex faults across electrical, mechanical, and fluid-power elevator frameworks.
- Execute recurring preventative care protocols and rigorous safety audits.
- Manage the assembly and modernization of lift systems in alignment with architectural blueprints and jurisdictional mandates.
- Provide on-call support for urgent repair needs and after-hours system failures.
- Document technical workflows, component utilization, and project milestones with high accuracy.
- Serve as a professional point of contact for property managers and internal leadership.
Professional Requirements
- Licensure: Valid CET (Certified Elevator Technician) designation or a recognized equivalent.
- Technical Literacy: Proficient in interpreting complex schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering manuals.
- Safety: Current OSHA 10 or 30 construction safety certification.
- Physicality: Ability to perform high-precision work within restricted spaces or at significant elevations.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep familiarity with ASME A17.1 and relevant local/state safety ordinances.
- Logistics: Valid operator's license and dependable transit.
