Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The ideal candidate will have strong telemetry or intermediate care experience in a reputable healthcare environment.

Schedule

• Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 AM - 07:30 PM)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Clinicians may float as needed, including to nearby facilities.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in PCU/Intermediate Care within the last three years
• First-timers accepted

Certifications Required

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Qualifications

• Strong telemetry interpretation skills
• Management of cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias
• Oxygen protocol and non-invasive airway management experience
• Experience with cardiac drips (e.g., nitroglycerin, Cardizem, amiodarone)
• Peripheral line care and management
• Isolation precautions and Infection Control (PPE) protocols

Patient Care Responsibilities

• Patient-to-nurse ratios of 1:4-6
• Support to various adult inpatient units, including medication-surgery and intermediate care
• Activation of rapid response teams when necessary
• Documentation using Epic charting system
