- Perform routine and complex cardiac ultrasound procedures to assess heart structures and hemodynamics in accordance with established clinical protocols.
- Set up imaging equipment, adjust technical parameters, and manually maneuver transducers while correctly positioning patients for optimal visualization.
- Recognize normal anatomy, cardiac pathology, and equipment limitations while ensuring prompt, accurate submission of high-quality images and patient data to PACS.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and uphold strict quality control, patient safety, and regulatory compliance standards across the department.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- One or more of the following required:
- Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Sonography Tech specializing in Cardiac credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate' degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
