Registered Nurse - Oncology

Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Oncology RN to provide specialized care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing chemotherapy and immunotherapy. This role involves administering treatments, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other medications following prescribed protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs, responses to treatment, and manage side effects.
• Document patient care activities accurately within Cerner and IntelliDose systems.
• Assist with port accessing, IV placements, and other specialized procedures.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, side effects, and safety precautions.

Qualifications:

• Valid MA nursing license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, with oncology certification preferred.
• Proficiency in Cerner and IntelliDose documentation systems desired.
• Ability to work independently and follow safety protocols for chemotherapy administration.
• Certifications: BLS, Chemotherapy (ONS/ONCC), OCN (preferred).
• Flexibility to work 4-day shifts from 8:00 to 17:30 with no scrubs provided.
