How you'll contribute * As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department. * Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN. * Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care; may administer medication. * Documents patient care provided. * Assists RN with development of plan of care. * Assist patients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. * Monitors, documents, and communicate patient status and responses to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and family. * Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. * I participate in performance improvement and continuing education. * Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed. * Maintains regular and reliable attendance. * Performs other duties as assigned. Additional Information * Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult. * Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record. * Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present for all employees. * Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements.
