Artificial Intelligence Researcher

Our client is the only AI research lab exclusively focused on video data, building the high-quality training datasets that power frontier video models. Multiple millions in revenue last quarter. Team of 15. Series A from YC, Matrix Partners, and AI Grant. Role overview We epect you to come in-person at SF HQ 5 days a week. This is not a pure PM role. It's not a pure technical role either. We needs someone who can sit in a technical deep-dive with researchers at a frontier AI lab in the morning, and navigate a commercial expansion conversation with the same customer in the afternoon. Own relationships with frontier AI labs and Sieve's most important customers Translate what customers need into what the research and product teams build next Drive cross-functional execution across research, product, operations, and partnerships Build the internal systems and processes that let a 15-person company operate like a 50-person one Navigate technical conversations about datasets, model performance, pipeline architecture, and AI workflows as a peer, not a translator TWO WAYS IN Senior track Generalist track Main requirements You have experience in Computer Vision and can demonstrate familiarity with video data research, algorithm development, or dataset pipeline design at scale You have existing relationships inside frontier AI labs or direct experience at a human data company eg; Scale AI, Mercor, Surge, Snorkel, Sapien, Defined.ai, or similar. You can walk into OpenAI or Anthropic as a peer, not a vendor. You're 1–2 years out of MBB, top-tier consulting, banking, or an APM role at an AI company. You have an engineering degree and a genuine curiosity for how ML systems work. You're scrappy, high EQ, and can ramp fast. Across both tracks, the universal filter is high curiosity and high EQ.
