Physical Therapist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift, 5x8.0.

The Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with patients' needs and physician directions. Responsibilities include the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs to facilitate effective community reintegration. The therapist also serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and self, while performing other professional duties associated with patient care and therapy service development.

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to address all barriers to patient discharge.
• Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions based on patient care needs.
• Complete timely and accurate medical record documentation in compliance with regulations.
• Participate in the student program, providing a positive learning environment.
• Actively pursue professional development and participate in patient and professional advocacy efforts.
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure.
• Demonstrate awareness of performance improvement initiatives.

• Valid and current State Physical Therapist license.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent inpatient rehabilitation experience.
• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
