School Aide - Special Education Support
The School Aide supports students who require instructional, behavioral, personal-care, or mobility assistance. Under the direction of the special education department, teacher, or supervising designee, the School Aide helps students access their educational program and may assist with therapeutic or physical-care needs as directed by licensed professionals.
?? Responsibilities
Provide instructional and behavioral support under teacher/special education supervision
Assist students with personal care, mobility, and daily living skills
Support therapeutic activities as directed by SLP, OT, PT, or other health professionals
Maintain confidentiality and follow all professional standards
Support students across school environments (classroom, playground, cafeteria, etc.)
?? Minimum Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
Compliance with all professional standards of practice
Current CPR (if applicable)
TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)
Current health certificate (per contract/state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Must be 18 years of age or older
