Opportunity:

RN - CVOR

Job Details:

• 9-week contract with 40 hours guaranteed per week
• Monday through Friday, various 8-hour day shifts
• Weekend coverage as needed with holiday rotation (every other holiday)
• On-call requirements include 1 week day call, 1 week day backup call, 2-3 weekend calls, and 1 holiday call with potential for additional call as needed
• 30-minute response time required when on call - a personal vehicle is required for this position
• Assigned to 4-5 operating rooms per day across 21 ORs covering all specialties
• Minimum 3+ years of CVOR experience with anesthesia experience required; will consider ICU or ER RN with anesthesia experience or a CVOR RN
• Prior travel experience required
• Strong OR/CVOR circulating experience required; prior experience with conscious sedation a plus
• Required skills include assisting with intubations, fiber optic scopes during intubation, sterile techniques with central lines, arterial line placement, central lines, lumbar drains, Swan Ganz catheters, starting IVs, drawing labs, and setting up medication pumps
• Must be proficient with Cell Saver, Belmont, and Level I equipment
• Epic charting system experience required
• Assist anesthesia providers with heart surgeries, traumas, elective surgeries, and general surgeries with a main focus on the cardiothoracic program
• 2-week orientation process with training for additional anesthesia skills as needed
• Candidate must be flexible, hardworking, resilient, and able to manage change well
• Strong critical thinking skills and knowledge of all OR cases required
• Required certifications: AHA or ARC BLS, ACLS, WI RN License or compact RN license
• Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
• Scrubs provided

This facility is a full-service hospital offering a comprehensive range of surgical and specialty services. The operating suite consists of 21 ORs covering all surgical specialties, with a strong emphasis on the cardiothoracic program.
