Civil Aviation Engineer / PM

As a result, a full-time position is available for an Experienced Aviation Engineering Project Manager at our Dallas or San Antonio, TX office location. Responsibilities include: Serves as project manager and/or project engineer on complex projects Researches and recommends advances in technical software and other new technology in the field to improve efficiency Provides technical guidance to staff in area of expertise Will serve as project manager and lead marketing pursuits, will act as client contact Responsible for schedules, work in progress, and timely completion of projects Coordinates and approves pricing, estimating, scoping, and marketing strategies for proposed projects Develops engineering agreements for their projects within the department Responsible for control of work-in-process Assists with contract administration Prepares or directs preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, permits and designs for projects Instructs technicians to convert designs to working drawings Visits construction sites to monitor progress and other duties per the contract documents Other duties as assigned A valid driver's license and some travel will be required. The successful candidate will have: A bachelor's degree (or higher) in engineering from an accredited college or university and at least twelve (12) years of experience A PE license is required (Texas preferred or ability to obtain TX license within 6 months) The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following: Experience leading aviation design and construction projects Experience serving as the project manager on aviation projects Experience mentoring and leading engineering project teams Construction management experience Experience in contract administration scope and fee preparation/negotiations Experience with Marketing and Business Development AutoCAD Civil 3D experience At Mead & Hunt we shape the future by putting people first.
