Social Media Specialist

Our Social Media Specialist plays a critical role in building local brand awareness for City Wide’s franchise locations, making them a trusted partner in strengthening City Wide’s presence in every market they serve. The Social Media Coordinator researches, creates, promotes, and tracks social media campaigns for individual member franchises, and collaborates with the rest of the marketing team to ensure social content aligns with other campaigns and content marketing efforts in flight. This position reports to the Brand & Content Marketing Manager as part of the City Wide Marketing team, with regular collaboration across both inter-office and external parties. Primary Responsibilities Develop and execute a unified social media strategy to increase brand awareness, engagement, and conversion across franchisee accounts; communicate needs from the "client" and evolve strategies for channel growth. Create and manage content calendars, aligning campaigns with organizational goals and franchisee needs. Provide best practices and toolkits to franchisees that strengthen their social media execution and adherence to brand guidelines. Monitor social media trends and implement innovative tactics to improve performance. Track and continually improve lead generation from social media as a source. Assist with content creation to support larger marketing campaigns. Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics; meet with franchise teams to provide insights and recommendations for ongoing optimization of their social accounts. Performance metrics The following metrics apply to this position and should be recorded in your scorecard: People, Franchise Satisfaction, Revenue Growth, and EBITDA. Increase engagement across contracted franchisee social media channels by 5% each quarter. Increase follower growth by 10% each quarter for contracted franchisee social media accounts. Maintain client retention above 90% each quarter. Position Requirements Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in B2B social media marketing. Marketing agency background preferred, with experience managing a portfolio of business accounts. Knowledge of social media platforms, analytics tools, and content creation best practices; LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram experience is a must. A metrics orientation with proven experience using data insights to develop and execute effective campaigns. Strong project management skills and ability to balance priorities with franchisee needs. Familiarity with HubSpot or similar marketing automation systems. Excellent writing, communication, training, and relationship-building skills. Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and Canva to develop creative for use across social platforms; video creation is a plus. Self-starting and ambitious, with a vision for evolving social media practices and processes beyond what they are today. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM systems; knowledge of Power BI is a plus. This position operates in a standard office setting with moderate noise levels and controlled climate. The office is equipped with typical lighting and equipment conducive to prolonged computer use. The role involves sitting for extended periods with intermittent walking or standing. Interaction with colleagues and clients occurs regularly through meetings, phone calls, and in-person communication.
