Accounting Manager

AB Mauri North America is seeking an exempt Accounting Manager – Internal Controls to strengthen financial and operational control frameworks across accounting and finance processes. This long-term contract role is based in St. Louis, MO and follows a hybrid schedule, with more onsite presence expected during the first 3–6 months. Lead the design, documentation, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of internal controls to support accurate financial reporting, policy compliance, and risk management. Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end control activities, including balance sheet reviews, reconciliations, journal entry controls, and approval workflows. Partner with operations, IT, and audit teams to identify control gaps, monitor segregation of duties and access controls, and drive remediation of deficiencies. Support risk assessments and testing of key controls, including UK SOX controls where applicable, and provide training on control expectations and best practices. Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, 7+ years of experience, strong knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls, advanced Excel and financial systems skills, and strong stakeholder communication; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr provide
