Join Our Team At Seldovia Village Tribe (SVT)Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per weekSalary Range: Depends on experienceType of Employment: In-person, not a remote positionWhat You'll Do:Provide physical therapy services to patients including assessment, treatment, program planning, and implementation, related documentation and communication.Treat a variety of diagnoses while partnering with other members of our care team.Provide outcome focused care, treatments should enhance strength, range of motion, flexibility, mechanical alignment, and minimize pain or discomfort to improve function.Responsible for evaluating patients, identifying the therapy diagnosis and formulating therapy treatment plans and goals in collaboration with patient/partnersExplain treatment to patients and prepare them for treatmentMaintain accurate patient records and chart notes in our EHR systemComply with quality, safety, and infection-prevention protocols, as well as all federal and state regulationsWork cooperatively with the primary care provider, offering consultation where necessary.Referring patients for other SVTHW services as neededMaintain Continuing Education requirements as defined by state license criteria and national board certification, read trade journals, and keep up-to-date on industry practices and regulationsAssist in developing and delivering patient education and handouts to enhance patient/partner experienceParticipate in developing systems of delivery to assure efficient and comprehensive patient care and strengthen a Team approachPromote communication and program development by participating in clinic meetings as scheduledBe able to travel as needed to other communities including to and from Homer / Seldovia by small airplane and sometimes by boat when airplanes are on weather hold. Travel is a day trip, but inclement weather may require an overnight stay.Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and a pre-employment background check including fingerprinting.What You'll Need:Graduate of an accredited PT program required1+ Year(s) Physical Therapy experience required1+ Year(s) manual therapy requiredPreferred but not required: Experience in a community health centerPreferred but not required: Tribal experienceWhat You'll Get:11 Paid Holidays per year12 Days of Sick Leave per year15 days (3 weeks) of Annual Leave per year (starting accrual, more days with more years of service)FEHB (Federal Employees Health Benefits) - Health Insurance, a variety of plans to choose from.
