Intermediate Carpenter – Commercial Restoration & ReconstructionThis role provides essential operational support for commercial reconstruction and restoration projects. The Advanced Carpenter is a critical contributor on large-scale commercial CAT Team projects and plays a leadership role in training and mentoring junior carpenters.Professionals in this role possess advanced knowledge of commercial construction practices, tools, and equipment, including shrink-wrapping methods, material installation, and project execution. This position represents Level 4 in the Progressive Carpenter career track and offers growth opportunities into Estimator or Project Manager development paths.Key ResponsibilitiesProactively identify potential project challenges and request support as neededTrain and mentor Basic and Intermediate Carpenter team membersServe as a knowledgeable on-site resource for most project-related questionsConstruct effective containment systems for dust, debris, and airborne contaminantsBuild and repair metal-framed walls, acoustical ceilings, and roofing systemsPerform flood cutting, salvage operations, and labeling of materials using approved methodsIdentify insulation types, thicknesses, and R-valuesApply advanced construction skills across trim, doors, cabinetry, insulation, framing, ceilings, roofing, and sidingConduct daily vehicle inspections and maintain clean, serviceable equipmentMaintain strict attention to detail and customer property protection standardsDeliver outstanding customer service in all interactionsWork efficiently under schedule deadlinesSupport after-hours, weekend, and periodic travel project needsAccurately document labor hours, equipment usage, and materials consumptionParticipate in company-sponsored operations and safety training programsRequirements & ExpectationsSupervise unskilled labor, entry-level and intermediate team members, and subcontractors on residential, commercial, multi-family, industrial, institutional, and high-risk projectsProvide clear guidance on project tasks and escalate complex issues appropriatelyMaintain tools and equipment used in daily operationsPerform emergency response services such as board-ups and securing structures against further damageComplete additional duties as business needs requireCompensation & BenefitsOur Client offers competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your career and personal well-being, including:401(k) with company matchMedical, dental, and vision coverageLife, disability, and supplemental insurance optionsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Paid holidays & paid time offCompensation:Pay range: $20.00 – $28.00 per hour, depending on experience levelAverage production employee works approximately 45 hours per weekOvertime opportunities availableMandatory on-call rotation requiredAfter-hours calls earn an additional:$25 per call Monday–Friday$50 per call on weekendsAdditional on-call compensation is paid on top of the employee's hourly rateCompany-provided branded work van assigned for business use
