Inventory Clerk

Clerical Professional

Detail-oriented and dependable clerical professional with strong administrative experience and extensive computer skills. Experienced in data entry, document preparation, filing, records management, customer service skills up to including Microsoft Office Suite

Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Maintain a safe working environment at all time, including housekeeping and compliance to safety rules.

Understand material flow and basic principles of inventory control.

Know location so components in inventory

Able to identify parts

Update and maintain supply of cycle count sheers

Print and distribute Cycle Count Schedules, analyze cycle counts, order re-counts, and correct computer inventory data

Train new employees to cycle count as needed

Manage Cycle Count History Data Base

Increase inventory accuracy by correcting the root causes of inventory errors

Lead Inventory Team in the correction on inventory inaccuracies

Report raw material discrepancies to Materials Manager, Plant Buyer, and Materials Clerk.

Develop and/ or update scrap sheets and material adjustments sheets

Carry out IPT and non-conform responsibilities when needed

Fill in for Receiving Clerk and Materials Control and Materials Clerk

Do cycle counts, inventory adjustments, and expedite parts when needed

Promote overall effectiveness of team

Promote positive attitude

Other duties may be assigned

Ability to identify all component parts

Education and/or Experience:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common business documents such as packing lists, manifests bills of lading, pallet tickets, or job orders. Ability to listen and communicate effectively with co-workers and customers/clients in an effort to respond to common inquires or complaints.

Math:

Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to such tasks as inventory control, material ordering, and job order verification. Ability to use and read a standard and/or metric tape measure.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to be self motivated, make limited and independent judgments based on given alternatives. Ability to define problems collect data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an assorted number of tasks or instructions. Be able to identify color variances.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand 20 % of the time. The employee is required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls in a fast pace environment. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch and talk or hear. The employee is required to use repetitive motions.

The employee must regularly lift and/ or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and the ability to focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in an indoors manufacturing environment. The noise level is usually moderate to high and may require the use of hearing protection. The employee is required to wear PPE. The employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.

The work environment of this job is a structured one; lunches and breaks are regulated.
