Job Summary

The Commercial Service Plumber is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining plumbing systems and equipment in commercial facilities. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently, and experience servicing a wide variety of commercial plumbing systems while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing systems, fixtures, and piping.
• Install water, sewer, natural gas, and drainage systems for commercial facilities.
• Repair and replace water heaters, tankless systems, circulation pumps, mixing valves, and plumbing fixtures.
• Perform drain cleaning, sewer inspections, leak detection, and plumbing system troubleshooting.
• Install, inspect, and test backflow prevention assemblies.
• Read blueprints, specifications, and work orders to complete projects accurately.
• Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal plumbing codes.
• Perform preventive maintenance and identify potential issues before they become costly repairs.
• Accurately document service work, materials used, and recommendations using digital work orders.
• Communicate professionally with customers, property managers, and fellow technicians.
• Respond to emergency service calls as needed.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in a clean and professional condition.
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial plumbing experience preferred.
• Experience servicing restaurants, retail facilities, office buildings, healthcare facilities, convenience stores, or industrial properties is highly desirable.
• Experience with commercial service, maintenance, and repair work is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
• Knowledge of commercial water, sewer, gas, and drainage systems.
• Experience installing and repairing commercial water heaters, backflow devices, pumps, and piping systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with plumbing codes and safety regulations.
• Comfortable using tablets or mobile devices to complete service documentation.

Requirements

• Valid Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in confined spaces, on ladders, rooftops, and in outdoor environments.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
• Availability for occasional after-hours or emergency service calls.

Preferred Qualifications

• Texas Journeyman or Master Plumber License.
• Backflow Prevention Certification.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
• Experience working alongside HVAC, electrical, or refrigeration technicians.
