This candidate will also possess a limitless desire to attain the highest levels of quality and cleanliness in all areas of the Food and Beverage Operations./ppPosition Requirements/pulliProfessional demeanor appropriate for a fine dining restaurant environment./liliPrevious food and beverage experience in a resort hotel environment is a plus./liliOutstanding and professional guest services skills./liliKnowledge of food and wine is an asset./liliMust be of minimum legal age to serve alcohol according to state law./liliA food handling certification must be completed within the first 90 days of employment./liliTIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) certification must be completed within the first 90 days of employment./li/ulpResponsibilities/pulliWork closely with the kitchen and servers to organize food orders and ensure that they are prepared correctly and promptly./liliDeliver food orders to the correct tables quickly and efficiently, ensuring that guests receive their meals while they are hot and fresh./liliKnowledge of restaurant layout and location of all equipment and supplies./liliSet tables with silverware and glassware, restock server stations./liliKnow the ingredients, preparation, and proper presentation of all menu items and specials./liliObserve and take note of dirty and occupied tables that need refreshment./liliPerform side work assigned by management./liliCommunicate with guests, other employees, or departments to ensure guest needs are met./liliCheck menus to ensure they are current, clean, plentiful, and wrinkle-free./liliEnsure place settings are appropriate, and each guest has the necessary items for the standard place setting./liliMaintain cleanliness and condition of the work area./liliAssist as needed to maintain standards of appearance, sanitation and service in all areas of the restaurant./liliPerform any other reasonable duties as required by management./li/ulpEducation/pulliHigh school diploma or GED./li/ulpSkills and Abilities/pulliAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and multiple tasks simultaneously./liliAbility to communicate in the English language. Second language is a plus./liliAbility to perform proper chemical handling, cleaning techniques and use of equipment/machinery./liliAbility to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends and able to perform multiple tasks./li/ulpPhysical Requirements/pulliMust be physically fit in order to lift, pull and push items up to 50 pounds./liliAlso requires reaching overhead/standing/walking/reaching and bending throughout shift./li/ul/div
