Nocturnist | Hospital Medicine Admissions Focus - Central Michigan (Saginaw)

A leading not-for-profit, integrated healthcare organization in Central Michigan is seeking a BC/BE Hospital Medicine Nocturnist with a focus on admissions to join a high-acuity inpatient care team serving a large and diverse regional population.

Position Highlights

• Full-time nocturnist position within a large integrated health system
• Coverage for a high-acuity inpatient hospital medicine service
• 12-hour night shifts; approximately 15 shifts per month for full-time status
• Staggered start times (5 PM and 8 PM) to support smooth patient flow and transitions
• Average of 6–10 admissions per shift within a system averaging 45 daily admissions
• Work collaboratively with a second nocturnist physician and advanced practice provider support overnight
• Fully integrated EPIC electronic medical record system
• Primary responsibility for acute admissions from the Emergency Department
• High‑acuity, fast‑paced inpatient environment within a Level II Trauma Center
• Opportunity to work within a nationally recognized teaching and academic medical environment

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Hospital Medicine
• Eligible for state medical licensure
• Strong interest in acute care and inpatient admissions
• New graduates and early‑career physicians encouraged to apply
