Material Handler - Production Assistant

Pay: $19/hour + $1.00 shift differential

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

We are seeking a motivated Production Assistant to support our plastic injection molding operations. This role is responsible for machine setup, process support, and maintaining efficient production across multiple molding machines. This is a great opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude and manufacturing experience looking to grow in a hands-on production environment.

What You'll Do:

• Set up and prepare injection molding machines for production
• Run test shots for quality inspection and adjust machine parameters as needed
• Install, remove, and clean molds, dies, and machine components
• Ensure proper materials and resin recipes are used
• Operate manual machine controls and monitor performance
• Perform preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting
• Verify machine safety controls are functioning properly
• Load materials into hoppers, manage grinders, and document usage
• Complete required production documentation and reports
• Support team operations to ensure efficient and continuous production

What We're Looking For:

• 1+ year of manufacturing or related experience
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools
• Ability to follow instructions and stay detail-oriented
• Good math skills and ability to work with measurements
• Strong attendance and reliability
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in plastic injection molding or similar processes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Basic knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Familiarity with electrical circuits or PLCs (a plus)

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

• Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and materials
• Requires standing, walking, and hands-on work throughout the shift
• Handling of materials such as resins, oils, and tooling components
