As an Automotive Detailer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring every vehicle looks its absolute best before it reaches its next owner.Position SummaryWe're looking for an experienced Automotive Detailer who takes pride in producing showroom-quality vehicles. This role is responsible for cleaning, restoring, and preparing vehicles throughout the reconditioning process while maintaining Ever's high cosmetic standards. The ideal candidate has professional detailing experience, excellent attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced production environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform complete interior and exterior vehicle detailing to showroom standards.Wash, dry, clay bar, polish, wax, and apply protective coatings when required.Vacuum, shampoo carpets, clean upholstery, condition leather, and sanitize interiors.Clean windows, mirrors, door jambs, wheels, wheel wells, and engine compartments as appropriate.Remove light stains, water spots, adhesive residue, and minor cosmetic imperfections.Operate buffers, polishers, extractors, steam cleaners, pressure washers, and other detailing equipment safely and effectively.Inspect vehicles before and after detailing to ensure Ever's quality standards are met.Identify cosmetic issues requiring additional repair or paint correction and communicate findings to the recon team.Prepare vehicles for photography, showroom display, customer delivery, and transport.Maintain detailing equipment and ensure chemicals, tools, and supplies are properly stored and maintained.Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with company safety standards.Support vehicle movement and other reconditioning activities as needed.Consistently meet daily production, quality, and turnaround goals.Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, professional work environment.QualificationsRequired:2–5 years of professional automotive detailing experience.Experience detailing a high volume of vehicles in a dealership, reconditioning center, fleet, or automotive environment.Knowledge of automotive detailing chemicals, products, equipment, and industry best practices.Experience operating buffers, polishers, extractors, pressure washers, steam cleaners, and other detailing equipment.Ability to identify cosmetic defects and recommend appropriate corrective actions.Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the Operations team.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Preferred:Experience detailing luxury or electric vehicles.Paint correction and ceramic coating experience.Knowledge of dealership or used vehicle reconditioning processes.Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles is a plus.Physical RequirementsTo successfully perform the essential functions of this position, an employee must be able to:Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, twist, and work in confined spaces.Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally more with assistance.Enter and exit vehicles repeatedly throughout the day.Operate manual and powered detailing equipment, including pressure washers, polishers, buffers, steam cleaners, extractors, and vacuums.Perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements while cleaning, polishing, and detailing vehicles.Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and direct sunlight.Tolerate exposure to vehicle exhaust, cleaning chemicals, soaps, waxes, and other automotive products while following all required safety procedures and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).Safely drive and maneuver vehicles on company property and in parking areas.Maintain visual attention to detail to identify cosmetic imperfections, cleanliness standards, and quality issues.Work safely in a fast-paced production environment while adhering to company safety policies and procedures.What Success Looks LikeVehicles consistently meet Ever's cosmetic and quality standards.Daily production goals are achieved while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.Minimal rework due to consistent quality and thorough inspections.Safe operation of equipment and adherence to all company safety procedures.Positive collaboration with Recon, Operations, Sales, and Logistics teams to ensure vehicles are retail-ready on schedule.Why Join EverCompetitive compensation.Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and additional employee benefits.Paid time off and company-supported employee programs.Career growth opportunities within Operations and Reconditioning.Modern equipment and a collaborative team environment.The opportunity to help shape the customer experience at one of the fastest-growing EV retailers.Ever is an equal opportunity employer.
