Job Overview RWJBarnabas Health is hiring for a Carpenter at Monmouth Medical Center. This is a Full-Time, Days position. Qualifications High school diploma or general education Degree GED 3 years experience in all types of carpentry Certifications and Licenses Required Must have a New Jersey driver's license Scheduling Requirements Days Full-Time Essential Functions Under direction, performs general carpentry work involved in the layout, measurement, construction, maintenance, and erection of wooden structures and structures made from materials used the same as wood: works with various machines and hand tools common to the carpentry trade; may prepare work from sketches, plans and specifications in accord with the building code or accepted trade practices Takes the lead over and gives assignments to one or more carpenters and or provides technical advice assistance to journey level carpenters engaged in performance of a variety of carpentry task; does other related duties as required Utilizes skills to perform work as directed by supervisor Maintains all building functions on patient floors and patient rooms Delivers timely and efficient building services to staff, patients and visitors Remains available for routine and emergency service calls according to Medical Center needs Works overtime as required Provides on-call maintenance coverage for the Medical Center for repairs, installations, snow removal, relief mechanic and other emergencies or schedules projects Ensures that patient care is the number on priority Responds to work in any work discipline as requested by Engineering supervisors, or director, and performs to the best of his her ability Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
