Senior Business Intelligence Engineer A hands‑on technical contributor embedded within the BI team, responsible for building reliable analytics solutions and supporting BI analysts. This role collaborates closely with business stakeholders, data engineering, and BI analysts to deliver BI products, reporting pipelines, and actionable insights. Responsibilities Support development and maintenance of BI assets in the central data hub; optimize SQL, Tableau, and data models. Collaborate with Data Engineers on ingestion, transformations, and Snowflake/dbt modeling using GitHub‑based CI/CD processes. Troubleshoot data quality, lineage, and performance issues while building automated data quality checks and monitoring BI product and pipeline performance. Design and build Tableau dashboards that deliver actionable insights and support strategic business goals. Work closely with stakeholders to understand needs, refine requests, and ensure dashboards and BI products are performant, action‑oriented, and broadly impactful. Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in analytics, computer science, statistics, or a related field. 4–6 years of experience in BI, analytics engineering, or analytics‑focused roles. 4–6 years of experience developing, troubleshooting, and optimizing advanced SQL logic. 1–3 years of experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI). 1–3 years of experience working with Snowflake or a similar cloud data warehouse. 1–3 years of experience leveraging Python for data analysis and pipeline development. 1–3 years of hands‑on experience with dbt. 1–3 years of experience using GitHub for version control and CI/CD. Experience with Fivetran (preferred). Advanced proficiency in Tableau or Power BI and in core SQL concepts (window functions, CTEs, nested queries). Strong understanding of analyst workflow and ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams. Ability to transform and analyze data at all layers of the warehouse (staging to mart).
