Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor & Delivery/Post Partum Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 24 months of current Labor Delivery, Post Partum, and Mother Baby experience required. License: Active Iowa or Compact/Multistate license required. Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - AWHONN certificate Must-Have: - Experience in Post Partum/Mother Baby care - Experience in Labor Delivery - Experience with C-section and vaginal delivery, including triage - No first-time travelers; must have completed at least one travel assignment in the previous 12 months - Intermediate or Advanced EFM/AWHONN certificate - Drip experience with magnesium, insulin, and pitocin Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor & Delivery and Post Partum care. The nurse will work in a 24-bed maternity unit. Patient ratios are typically 1:3-4 couplets. The nurse will care for patients undergoing C-sections and vaginal deliveries. Experience with triage is necessary. The nurse will be required to float across various campuses. The facility provides scrubs for staff. The contractor is required to work 1-2 of the upcoming holidays unless the unit is closed. The position involves on-call responsibilities with potential callback time. A professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, or nurse manager within the last 24 months is preferred.
