LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing organization in the Fort Worth area seeking an Accounting Associate to support daily accounting operations. This position offers a great opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in accounting principles who enjoys a hands-on role involving accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations and general ledger support.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of debits and credits , strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative accounting team.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable invoices, verify accuracy, code expenses and coordinate vendor payments.
• Maintain vendor records, reconcile statements and research invoice or payment discrepancies.
• Prepare customer invoices, apply payments and assist with accounts receivable activities.
• Perform bank, customer and general ledger account reconciliations.
• Assist with journal entries and month-end close activities, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately.
• Support inventory-related accounting, including work-in-process (WIP) transactions, reconciliations and inventory reporting.
• Assist with intercompany transactions and related accounting activities.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records.
• Support financial reporting, audits and special accounting projects as needed.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.

Qualifications:

• 2-3+ years of hands-on accounting experience, including accounts payable and exposure to accounts receivable.
• Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles, including debits, credits, journal entries and general ledger activity.
• Experience performing bank reconciliations and researching account discrepancies.
• Understanding of invoice coding, expense recognition and basic accounting transactions.
• Experience with inventory accounting or work-in-process (WIP) preferred.
• QuickBooks Desktop experience preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables.
• Familiarity with GAAP and month-end close processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and problem-solving abilities.

Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
