Position Overview

The Lead Clinic Nurse is a hybrid clinical and operational leadership role designed for our introductory clinic locations. This position is equally responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care across the full surgical patient journey and for managing the day-to-day operations of the clinic, including staff oversight and supply management. The Lead Clinic Nurse is the on-the-ground leader at their location, empowered to operate with a high degree of independence while working in close coordination with the Director of Operations.

Responsibilities

Pre-Operative Care

• Conduct pre-operative appointments including vital sign monitoring, accurate charting, garment measurement, implant size verification, lab result confirmation, and comprehensive consent reviews.
• Prepare and transmit surgical packets to the appropriate surgical center and coordinate prescribed medication delivery to the pharmacy.
• Apply nursing expertise during pre-op appointments to identify medical history concerns or risk factors that may not have surfaced during initial consultations.
• Capture pre-operative photos and ensure all documentation meets TPC standards of completeness and accuracy.

Post-Operative Care

• Administer post-operative appointments including vital sign assessments, detailed charting, photo documentation, wound care, dressing changes, drain and suture removal, and patient education on recovery.
• Provide compassionate, attentive support to patients who are emotionally affected during the post-operative period, ensuring they feel informed, comfortable, and confident in their recovery.
• Always maintain patient privacy and dignity and serve as a consistent point of trust throughout the patient journey.

Nursing Duties

• Oversee the status of blood work, PCP clearances, and other physician-directed tests. Maintain relentless follow-through to ensure all necessary labs and clearances are completed before pre-operative appointments.
• Serve as the primary clinical resource at the location, responding promptly to patient questions and clinical concerns via EMR, phone, and in-person communication.

Room Management

• Prepare clinic rooms at the start of each day, including equipment readiness, supply availability, room environment setup, and confirmation that all materials meet TPC standards.
• Close clinic rooms at the end of each day, including thorough surface disinfection, biohazard disposal, and restocking to ensure full readiness for the following day.

Clinic Operations & Management

• Oversee the daily operational flow of the clinic to ensure efficiency, timeliness, and an exceptional patient experience at every touchpoint.
• Implement and maintain clinic policies, procedures, and standard operating protocols established by TPC and The Academy.
• Identify workflow challenges proactively and propose solutions that improve operational efficiency and patient satisfaction.

Staff Leadership

• Provide direct operational oversight of the Patient Care Coordinator and Front Desk staff at the location. These roles report to the Lead Clinic Nurse.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and performance feedback in coordination with the Director of Operations, Chief Branding Officer, and HR Manager.
• Foster a professional, collaborative, and service-oriented workplace culture consistent with TPC’s five core values.

Supply Ordering & Inventory

• Own the location’s supply ordering process, including clinical supplies, medical materials, and operational consumables.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, establish reorder thresholds, and proactively manage stock levels to prevent clinical disruptions.
• Coordinate with vendors and the Director of Operations to ensure cost-effective procurement aligned with location budgets.

Physician & Provider Support

• Coordinate directly with the location’s plastic surgeon to ensure clinical operations run smoothly and provider time is optimized.
• Anticipate physician needs related to clinic flow, scheduling, and resource availability, and address them proactively.
• Support surgical and procedure scheduling in alignment with provider preferences and patient demand.
• Coordinate logistics when Draper-based physicians travel to the location for clinic days.

Communication

• Serve as the primary operational and clinical communication link between the location team, providers, and the Director of Operations.
• Prioritize responsiveness across all patients and staff communication channels including EMR system, phone, and in-person.
• Lead routine team meetings and ensure staff receive timely updates on policies, procedures, goals, and performance expectations.
• Communicate proactively with the Director of Operations regarding clinic needs, staffing trends, supply issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Partner with the Chief Branding Officer to ensure location-level communication, patient interactions, and team messaging align with TPC brand standards and guest experience expectations.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Utah is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical or clinical office setting.
• Prior leadership, supervisory, or clinic management experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical office workflows, EMR systems, and clinical documentation standards.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing operational and clinical responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain composure, confidentiality, and professionalism in a luxury-care environment.
• Non-judgmental outlook with experience serving a diverse patient population.
