Travel Medical Telemetry / IMC RN | Portland, ME

Maine Medical Center is seeking an RN for Bean 5, a 43-bed Medical Telemetry and Intermediate Care unit. This opening provides leave coverage.

• Shift: Days or nights; 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Experience: 1–2 years minimum
• Certification: BLS
• Call: None
• EHR: Epic
• Floating: Based on unit needs and RN skills. IMC nurses may float to another IMC unit or Med/Surg; Med/Surg nurses may float to a comparable Med/Surg unit.

Patient ratios: Med/Surg is 1:4–5 on days and 1:5–6 on nights. IMC is 1:3 on both shifts.

The unit cares for patients with respiratory failure, sepsis, DKA, altered mental status, acute on chronic medical conditions and some surgical needs. All RNs need tracheostomy care and telemetry strip interpretation experience; IMC RNs also need ventilator experience. Equipment includes ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, PCA and epidural pumps, wound VACs and specialty beds.
