About Us The phrase Beacon Light actually refers to two distinct companies:
Beacon Light Behavioral Health System (BLBHS) and Beacon Light Adult Residential Services (BLARS). Together they provide mental health services to adults, children and families in both community-based and residential settings. Individually, BLARS primarily provides residential programs for adults, while BLBHS provides community-based and residential programs for children, as well as community-based programs for adults. - High School Diploma plus 12 college semester hours in humanities or social services, or High School Diploma with 6 months of formal mental health training; or
- Bachelor's degree in a human service-related field
- High School Diploma with 7 years of mental health experience, or Bachelor's degree in a human service-related field with 3 years of mental health experience
- Plus:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a CASSP system program
- Must be enrolled for certification by OMH as a Mental Health Family Based Worker
