Compensation: $19.00 – $25.00 / hour (Based on experience) + Tip Share / Performance Bonuses

About the Role
Are you ready to make your mark on the local food scene? [Insert Restaurant Name] is a brand-new bar and restaurant concept opening its doors right in the heart of historic downtown Hudson. We are building an energetic, collaborative kitchen team from scratch and are looking for dependable, passionate Line Cooks and Prep Cooks to join us for our grand opening.
Whether you are an experienced line vet who thrives during a busy Friday night rush or a dedicated prep cook who takes pride in organized, scratch-made food execution, we have a station for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Station Excellence: Set up, stock, and maintain your assigned station (Grill, Saute, Fry, or Prep) with all necessary supplies for service.
- Recipe Execution: Prepare and cook high-quality menu items consistently according to our recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards.
- Speed & Accuracy: Work cleanly and efficiently to ensure ticket times remain low during high-volume lunch and dinner rushes.
- Kitchen Safety & Sanitation: Maintain a spotless workspace. Follow all local health department regulations, food safety protocols, and proper temperature controls.
- Team Collaboration: Maintain clear, positive communication with both the Front of House (servers/bartenders) and Back of House teams to ensure a smooth guest experience.
Position Requirements
- Experience: 1+ years of commercial kitchen experience (Line Cook, Prep Cook, or Short-Order Cook) is preferred, but we are absolutely willing to train anyone with a great attitude and strong work ethic.
- Knife Skills: Basic proficiency in knife handling, prep work, and fundamental cooking techniques.
- Pace & Stamina: Ability to work on your feet for extended periods (8+ hours) and lift up to 40 lbs when stocking inventory.
- Availability: Flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings. We close at a reasonable hour no brutal 2:00 AM bar-close shifts!
- Reliability: Dependable transportation to downtown Hudson and a track record of showing up on time, ready to work.
