Job Title: Cheese Production Worker Job Description The Production Helper / Bulk Machine Operator is responsible for supporting production operations by setting up, operating, and monitoring bulk packaging equipment. This role works closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure products are packaged safely, accurately, and according to quality standards. Responsibilities Set up and operate bulk packaging equipment following production schedules and packaging requirements. Monitor product quality, weights, seals, and packaging integrity throughout the production process. Clean, sanitize, and inspect equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Stage materials, maintain an organized work area, and support daily production activities as needed. Essential Skills Previous experience in manufacturing, production, packaging, or machine operation environments. Ability to read and complete production documentation, quality checks, and production records accurately. Strong attention to detail when monitoring product quality, weights, date codes, and packaging specifications. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and stand for extended shifts in a production setting. Qualifications Minimum of 6 months of manufacturing or production experience preferred. Ability to safely operate or learn to operate packaging and production machinery. Comfortable performing basic quality control measures, including weight and pH checks. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while following safety and sanitation standards. Additional Skills & Attributes Experience in food production, packaging, or cleanroom environments is a plus. Strong reliability, attendance, and work ethic. Willingness to cross-train and learn multiple production processes and equipment. Ability to work effectively with production, quality, and maintenance teams. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role operates in a production facility with 12-hour shifts, including openings on a 5:00 pm to 5:00 am schedule. The work involves CIP operations and bulk packaging processes. Certain areas of the building can become warm, and floors are often wet due to cleaning and production activities, so slip-resistant shoes are required. You will work around production and packaging machinery, perform physical tasks such as lifting and standing for extended periods, and follow cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the shift. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Westby, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $66560.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
